A complete partnership to realize its ambitious production plans and stand out in the entire field of American bottlers in terms of technological quality and environmental concern. This is the choice of CG Roxane USA LLC, which purchased and started up the new SACMI IPS 400 press for the production of PET preforms. "We have been in the field since 1990 with a distinctive proposal," said Nicolas Audouard, VP Injection and Blow Molding, Roxane "and we were looking for a partner who could manage innovation and collaborate with us to offer our customers the best consumer experience, consistent with our values."

President, what products and brands does your proposal focus on?
"CG Roxane LLC began as a family-owned business. Our policy is "bottling water at the source," and this sets us apart from all the major U.S. bottlers. With our Crystal Geyser® Alpin Spring brand, we are number one in bottled water distributed in the United States."
What are your peculiarities?
"We want to position ourselves as a leader in sustainable innovation, to offer our customers the best consumer experience while respecting the environment. With this statement we celebrated our first 30 years of history in 2020, and we want to continue on this path in the future. From this point of view, we were looking for a complete partner that could accompany us on this journey in all its aspects, from the product idea to the best technologies to make it.”

Let's talk about your latest purchase, the new IPS 400 preform press from SACMI. 
"I would like to start by saying that SACMI has an established reputation as a complete technology supplier in rigid packaging and beverage, with distinctive technologies worldwide. We chose IPS 400 because it is exactly the solution, within the SACMI IPS family, that meets our needs for productivity, flexible mold management, and advanced process controls. Moreover, going back to the environmental aspect, IPS is a solution capable of processing, with standard equipment, up to 100% of rPET, which is exactly what the market is asking of us at this stage of great attention towards sustainability issues." 

About the environment. Can we be "sustainable" and, at the same time, not compromise on quality?
"Certainly, and the project carried out with SACMI proves it. In fact, we are not just talking about preforms but complete development, from preform to neck finishing to closure optimization. We can produce preforms from recycled PET, but more importantly we can work towards complete package optimization, for example, reducing weights for the same performance and working on innovative designs. Another advantage of IPS 400 is its extreme versatility, both from the standpoint of ease of set-up and format change and with respect to its compatibility with existing molds. The fact we can work with our own molds is really a great advantage that accelerated our decision to invest in this technology."

How do you see the future?
